Transforming clinical pathways with Daiichi-Sankyo

Daiichi-Sankyo

A landmark pilot across 5 primary care networks generates evidence and health-economic data for a completely digital AF pathway.

Deze casestudy is voorlopig alleen in het Engels beschikbaar.

Objective

To increase detection of atrial fibrillation in primary care while generating new insights and health-economic data to support the case for change.

Approach

Aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan, this joint working project with pharmaceutical company Daiichi-Sankyo and technology partners involves five UK primary care networks and is a first step toward national roll-out of a completely digital AF pathway.

Outcome

There are currently no remote end-to-end AF detection or diagnosis pathways embedded in the NHS, making this a landmark initiative. It aims to boost detection and diagnosis while giving at-risk patients better access to the right treatment at the right time, without adding burden to the system. Early stakeholder reactions to the FibriCheck solution and support material have been very positive.
