Efficient remote AF detection during vaccination
Rolled out with the flu and COVID-19 vaccination programme, the remote pathway achieved 100% approval from patients and practitioners.

Objective
To safeguard continuity of atrial fibrillation detection during the pandemic through remote monitoring, while achieving detection targets and better outcomes.
Approach
With many patients unable or hesitant to attend clinics, the PCN replaced in-centre checks with FibriCheck and rolled the programme out as part of its flu and COVID-19 vaccination programme, ensuring virtual access to care for at-risk patients.
Outcome
The programme achieved a 100% approval rating from both patients and practitioners; all participating HCPs said they would recommend it, and 97% of patients found installation and use easy. It reduced referrals for 24-hour Holter monitors and let clinicians rule out innocent presentations and prioritise those needing further investigation, all while reaching more patients safely alongside vaccination.
