Community pharmacy AF screening across South London

Overview

FibriCheck joined forces with the British Heart Foundation, the South London Integrated Care System, Health Innovation Network South London and SW London LPC to bring accessible, proactive heart-health screening to the South London community.

Outcome

Through the project, pharmacies use FibriCheck to help identify atrial fibrillation in individuals with higher-risk profiles. Those with suspected AF are promptly referred to their GP for confirmation and appropriate care, supporting stroke prevention and improved cardiovascular outcomes while relieving pressure on the NHS.
