SURGICAL-AF 2: remote monitoring after cardiac surgery

Overview

The SURGICAL-AF 2 randomised controlled study evaluates the clinical consequences of detecting postoperative atrial fibrillation or flutter using a remote heart-rhythm monitoring strategy. A predefined subgroup of 600 participants uses FibriCheck’s PPG-based smartphone technology in the early postoperative period after discharge from cardiac surgery.
