Modern slavery and human trafficking statement

May 17, 2022

In compliance with Section 54 of the United Kingdom’s Modern Slavery Act 2015, and in support of human rights worldwide, Qompium does not and would not enter into business with any organisation worldwide which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

Qompium having assessed its business operations finds the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking practices within its business practices to be very low. As a supplier of software services, Qompium does not have an extensive supply chain and the company, its suppliers, and its service providers can be considered at low risk of engaging in modern slavery. The business does not involve and is not built upon the type of low skilled labor most vulnerable to such exploitation. Qompium’s professional service suppliers provide sophisticated and primarily bespoke professional advice and services. These services also do not use or depend on low skilled labor. Where recruitment is outsourced, Qompium only engages specified, reputable third party employment agencies / recruiters to source these highly skilled resources. Candidates of which undergo background verification processes to ensure all potential new hires are legally entitled to work. Qompium’s office services suppliers are engaged in a range of activities, from higher skilled to lower skilled, but almost all are engaged in services conducted in close proximity to or in close cooperation with Qompium personnel. Consequently, these services are conducted in a professional environment where exploitive practices would be difficult if not impossible to hide. The company’s suppliers of office goods are reputable retailers and wholesalers. Qompium does not contract with source suppliers in industries or regions of the world where the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking are relatively high. Qompium continues to review its arrangements periodically to ensure its suppliers are in keeping with operational business compliance standards.

While not required by law, this statement is issued voluntarily by Qompium for the fiscal year that ends December 31, 2022. Although subject to review annually, the statement will also apply to subsequent fiscal years unless and until withdrawn, superseded, or modified by Qompium.
